Qatar Fuel (Woqod) Sunday cautioned the  customers against using unapproved LPG regulators and other LPG  cylinder accessories. In a statement posted on social media platforms,  Woqod said the practice of using unapproved LPG regulators with Shafaf gas cylinders has been noticed recently. The use of unapproved regulators can damage the cylinders and allow gas to leak from it, which may cause fires, Woqod warned.

Woqod also recommended the following:

1. Using high-quality cylinder accessories only, which are approved by  Woqod, such as the pressure regulators and hoses. 
2. Ensuring that the regulator is properly installed and checked for any potential leaks, whether by tracking the odor or by using the soapy water test at the contact points.
3. Ensuring that the regulator knob switch is moved to the closed position when the cylinder is not in use.
4. Safe and proper handling of gas cylinders.
