The Ministry of Public Health Friday announced 756 new cases of Coronavirus disease (Covid-19), three deaths and 1986 recoveries in the last 24 hours in Qatar bringing the total number of deaths so far to 121 and recoveries to 88583.
Thee Ministry said the three new deaths were of patients aged 42, 77, and 77 years respectively who were all receiving the necessary medical care.
In the statistics published on in its website, the Ministry said 10 new cases are admitted to intensive care units today, taking the the total number of patients in ICU to 185.
MoPH also informed that 91 new cases are admitted to acute hospital care making the total number acute cases in hospitals to 765.
The Ministry also said 5910 people tested for the virus during the last 24 hours and the total number of people so far tested was 372,005. 9949 cases are active now, MoPH also said.
While the restrictions of Covid-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures like adherence to physical distancing, wearing a face mask and washing hands regularly, Ministry said.
MoPH also advised that anyone suffering from Covid-19 symptoms should either contact the helpline number 16000 or go directly to one of the following designated health centers to undergo the necessary checks: Muaither, Rawdat Al Khail, Umm Slal, and Al Gharafa. This is important as the earlier the disease is detected the easier it will be to receive the right treatment and recover from it.
