The Ministry of Public Health Saturday reported a new confirmed case of coronavirus (Covid-19) in Qatar. The patient is a Qatari citizen who recently returned from Iran, and underwent quarantine upon his arrival in the country.
This brings the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the country to 12.
In a statement, the ministry said the patient has been admitted to the Communicable Disease Centre under complete quarantine and that he is in a stable condition. The patient has not had contact with community members since his arrival.
The contact centre of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Ministry of Public Health can be contacted round-the-clock on the toll-free number 16000 for information related to the virus, the Ministry said in the statement.
