Qatar on Thursday called for an international investigation into attacks on two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman and a de-escalation of tensions in the region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the acts of destruction regardless of who is behind them and warned against tampering with the security of the Gulf and wider region, Qatar News Agency reported.
In a statement, the Ministry urged all parties to show restraint and stop escalations.
