Qatar is participating in the 56th Paris International Agricultural Show 2019 (SIMA). Qatar's delegation to the event is headed by HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie.
On the occasion, the minister met with the French Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, Didier Guillaume, and discussed with him means of strengthening co-operation between Qatar and France in the agricultural and livestock sectors.
The Minister also met with Catherine Jesselin-Lanel, the candidate of France and the European Union, for the post of Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO).
The Paris International Agricultural exhibition provides access to the latest developments and technologies in the fields of agricultural and animal wealth, as well as the acquisition of more expertise and increased trade exchange opportunities among participating countries.
A number of French and international companies specialised in the field of agriculture and food are taking part in the exhibition which is also attended by a number of ministers and senior officials, academics and businessmen.
