Quality Group International has announced that it will open a new hypermarket in Rayyan on June 1.
This will be the company’s seventh retail outlet in Qatar.
The announcement was made by Shamsudheen Olakara, chairman of Quality Group International, at a press conference yesterday.
A number of officials and dignitaries are expected to attend the launch function.
“We opened our first hypermarket in Qatar in July 2010 and, since then, have never changed our priorities. We continue to see considerable opportunities for expansion and development,” Olakara said.
He said the new outlet, located on a busy street, would provide a “unique shopping experience” to both citizens and expatriates. “The mall has three floors with a total area of 85,000sqft. A wide variety of products and brands will be available at the hypermarket, catering to the tastes and preference of customers from all walks of life.”
Quality Rayyan is the first retail outlet in the area with “ample parking space” and this will benefit customers, according to the official. A number of promotions and price discounts will also be announced for the inauguration.
The chairman said the group would open one more retail outlet in Al Khor by the end of this year.
Mohammed Izzuddeen, regional manager, retail division; Mins Mathew, group finance controller; Shahid, executive manager, retail division; and Ramshad, commercial manager of the retail group, were present at the media briefing.
The opening will take place at 10am.
